CD International and Hemidata announce a joint solution partnership for the benefit of healthcare
CD International, Inc., and HemiData, Inc. today announce the availability the MD-Journal™ Electronic Health Record (EHR) appliance.
CD International, Inc., a leading supplier of storage solutions and network computer has entered into a collaborative agreement with HemiData, Inc., a software development company that provides applications and services to the healthcare community. Through a joint development effort, the two companies have developed a turn-key solution for medical professionals to keep patient records on line at the fingertips of their medical staff. The record appliance provides instant information to medical staff when it is needed, without having to search for lost charts.
This revolutionary system incorporates many new features such as the integration with Dragon NaturallySpeaking, a Voice Recognition application that directly converts the spoken word into text data for use in the patient record. The complete patient record is always available to the doctor wherever the doctor is without having to retrieve a paper record from the archives. If necessary, the record can be viewed by multiple healthcare professionals concurrently. Records are indexed to provide the doctor and their staff the necessary information without having to shuffle through piles of paper. The records are highly encrypted for security reasons so no one else can see them yet the doctor can view them, with the appropriate permissions from any computer in the office or from a computer on the Internet.
The appliance is available in two different models. The base appliance supports 5 concurrent medical professionals. The base model can be upgraded to support up to additional healthcare professionals.
The professional appliance provides larger practices a fully extensible storage architecture to grow the records database up to 32 Terabytes.
All models provide fully redundant RAID5 disk array subsystems and redundant power systems.
