MD-Journal EMR Office Appliance Systems

For some offices it is appropriate to install a standalone applinace. HemiData packages the same EMR system that we provide as an application service into a standalone appliance for use in local installations. The appliance is provided in two different models to accomidate the needs of both small physician practices and also large organizations.

The turnkey appliance approach minimizes the installation and setup impact of the the new system on the medical practice.

The application is configured based on concurrent usage. This means that a the applicance is priced according to the usage model of the practice. There is no need to acquire a large system that provides capacity that can't or won't be used in the practice. If a practice grows, the appliance can grow with the practice. To use the MD-Journal appliance, the practice needs to have a functioning internal network with client computers that have web browser software installed. Since this is the state of nearly all personal computers, no additional software is required to begin operation.

MD-Journal desktop mini appliance  The MD-Journal Mini

The Mini comes configured with redundant power supplies and with a mirrored data storage system. The data storage subsystem provides duplicate storge for all medical record entries. This highly redundant provides practices with the assurance that their data will survive common failures in computer systems. Additionally, the system is configured with a 10/100/1000 Mbit network interface to interface with other office system that will work as clients of the MD-Journal server.

The MD-Journal Enterprise

Like the Mini, the Enterprise version also provides redundancy to the medical practice. The Enterprise version provides redundant power, cooling and a RAID5 Disk Array subsystem that provides very cost effective storage of the practice records. The power, cooling and disk components are hot pluggable so that repairs can be made while the system is operating.

The Enterprise version provides dual processor capability to keep patient data moving quickly and efficiently. This version also provides the 10/100/1000 Mbit network interface to provide fast and efficient transfer of data throught the practice.
